nina&lola is proud to be part of local shops network Wedge Card . This card was founded by the man behind The Big Issue and is something like the anti-Tesco-Club-card: it provides a loyalty scheme to local shops in London.

why we participate

Even though nina&lola is a dot-com, we still have a home, and we are worried that out neighbourhood starts looking like ever High Street in the country. Lola and I shop as much as we can in independent grocers, we buy our greeting-card paper and other supplies at the art shop down the road, and we hang out in independent cafes almost every day. Somehow though over the coming months our local post office is going to be shut to make way for a big store, and we're getting two Tescos within five minutes walking distance.
By participating in the Wedge Card programme we'd like to do our little bit to send out a signal that we are not happy with this development.

As a Wedge Card-holder you receive 10% on all our clothing, excluding sale items and special orders. So far Wedge Card is not directly integrated in our checkout system, so please state your card number in the message field of the checkout. We'll verify your card number and refund you accordingly.

How much does it cost?
Signing up for Wedge costs just £10 and is valid for one year, a small price to pay for such a great range of offers. Most members find that they recoup the initial cost in just a few weeks and what's more, a proportion of the purchase price is donated to local charities.

Where can I use my Wedge Card?
The network of businesses is growing all the time. Use our database to find out which businesses accept Wedge in your area. You will find that a whole range of traders have signed up to the scheme, from fruit and veg stalls, clothes shops to bicycle repairs and gift shops.

Where can I purchase a card?
Over the coming months, Wedge Traders will be selling the card in their shops, but you can buy a card online right now via Wedge's payment partners NCVO.
